London is the Mother City of Short & Sweet.
Short & Sweet launched in London on 8 May 2006 at Cafe 1001, Brick Lane, E1, and ran every Monday night for 5 and a half years. Each and every week a different selection of the finest short films, music videos and short animations from around the globe were screened: Old films and new films, from established directors to film makers completely undiscovered.
Short & Sweet was always FREE to attend and saw over 200 people every night without fail.
This is where, founder Julia Stephenson, really saw the power of short film!
This is a medium that can change opinions, create conversation and ultimately bring people together.
